EXPERIENCING A MASSAGE TEACHES YOU HOW TO BREATHE

Breathing is a fundamental element to eradicating stress, it is vital for our mental health, nerve and muscular health, digestive health issues, and the list is endless.

We need to become consciously aware of how we're breathing every day. In other words - we need to prioritise how we breathe, check in and change our habits throughout the day.
We can relieve a huge amount of stress buildup in our bodies through breathing from our core.
Breathing is a fundamental element to eradicating stress, it is vital for our mental health, nerve and muscular health, digestive health issues, and the list is endless.
Here's a little exercise you can do at home or in work  - anywhere really!
If you are experiencing stress within your body, place your hands where the site of pain is, if you can't reach it, close your eyes and imagine the pain in that area. Take a big breath in through your nose, expand your stomach out as far as it can go but when you exhale through your mouth slowly, don't release your stomach until the end of your breath.
Do this for 5 minutes and you will feel the pain subside.
I practice this routine daily and with massage clients at the clinic. It is a very important element to help reduce tension buildup in the body.
Neurologically we build up an obscene amount of stress and Covid hasn't helped with this. We need to look at physical and internal elements as to why your body behaves in a way that it does.
We can train our brain on how we deal with stress and how to control stress though our thought patterns and practices. It won't know until we change the pattern that your body is so used to accumulating over the years so therefore it can take time. Daily practices are key.
Note: If you are experiencing pain in your body consult with the clinic straight away so we can treat you or refer you to a specialist who will help you.
