Lymphatic Drainage massage helps to improve lymph flow and detoxify your body by adding draining movements towards your lymph nodes. It treats inflammation in your body, specifically after an operation or if you feel particularly bloated, it can be helpful to reduce swelling and water retention.

You should not do Lymphatic Drainage massage if you have an acute injury, or sunburnt skin. It is also not recommended if you have a heart condition, blood cloths, infections or kidney failure.

No, Lymphatic Drainage massage is not painful. In fact, it is extremely gentle, calming and relaxing treatment thanks to the slow and gently massage movements that are used during massage.

Lymphatic Drainage massage reduces inflammation to allow your body to function better, which can in turn aid with weight loss when your are on a calorie controlled and healthy diet.

During Lymphatic Drainage massage we use light movements to drain toxins and waste products from your body to your lymph nodes which are found in the neck, arm pits, and the groin. They perform as filters separating the 'clean' lymph and sending it back to your body.

Normally, the results of Lymphatic Drainage massage last up to 6 to 8 hours after treatment but can last also longer, depending on your metabolism and lifestyle. Immediate results after massage are feelings of deep relaxation and lightness.

We wouldn't recommend to have a large meal before Lymphatic Drainage massage, however, drinking plenty of water after the treatment would be advised.

If you wish to help and improve your lymphatic system, herbs such as turmeric and ginger are very good, as well as lots of green, leafy vegetables. You can get your daily greens into your body by drinking smoothies with more veg and some fruit to help make it more sweet.
