'Fascia therapy brings awareness as to what is truly showing up in your body. It allows you to face avoidance, releasing pain that you may have been carrying for years, even decades.' - Erica Ryan
What is the fascia?
Fascia is a web-like connective tissue that surrounds and supports our muscles, organs, nerves, and joints - almost like an inner armour within the body. From a young age, it holds onto everything we experience: emotions, injuries, chronic and acute pain, trauma, scar tissue, and even unexpressed feelings. Over time, these experiences can create restrictions in the fascia, affecting posture, movement, nerve function, and how pain shows up in the body.
Our posture and movement patterns begin forming in our teenage years, and as the fascia matures into early adulthood, anything we carry emotionally or physically from then on can remain stored in the tissues unless it is consciously released. This is why emotional expression is so important - suppressed emotions, particularly stress and anger, often settle around areas such as the ribs, shoulders, and underarms, creating tension and discomfort.

Fascia therapy and how it works
Fascia release is more than a massage. It works far beneath the surface, helping to soften restrictions, release deep-held tension, and allow the muscles to strengthen and relax naturally. As the tissue begins to let go, many people experience profound changes - reduced pain, easier breathing, improved posture and alignment, greater mobility, and a lighter, clearer sense of wellbeing.
This is why fascia work is often described as the future of bodywork. It’s ideal for anyone experiencing chronic or acute pain, stored emotions, trauma, repeated tension patterns, or simply feeling “stuck” in their body.
Body awakening
Fascia therapy brings awareness to what is truly showing up in your body, and allows you to face avoidance, finally releasing pain you may have been holding for years - sometimes even decades. Pain is an incredible feeling. How amazing are our bodies to give us warnings and realisations? It is our chance to heal, listen, and learn. Please don’t ignore it.
This is body awakening.
Fascia therapy is a journey
If you allow your body to go through fascia work, the outcome can be one of the most profound experiences you will ever have.
I know this because I have gone through it and can see what it has done for me. I am no longer the victim - I take accountability. I know that in order to face change and improve my life, I have to experience the relief and release of what my body is holding onto, and feel pain as a beautiful form of release and learning.
It is a journey - we are all writing our own story.
I wish for your story to be one of enlightenment, joy, fulfilment, and abundance.
