Reflexology is a non-invasive complementary health therapy, and effectively promotes deep relaxation and wellbeing by reducing stress and optimising good health and building resilience.

It is a touch therapy that is based on the theory that different points on the feet, lower leg, hands, face or ears correspond with different areas of the body and reflexologists work these points and areas.

Reflexology works on an individual basis, and reflexologist adjusts the treatment to your body’s needs.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Regular treatments are the best way for your body to benefit from Reflexology. Sessions can be arranged on weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis. We recommend to start with a set of 3 reflexology sessions to achieve the best results. Please talk to your reflexologist to arrange your own treatment plan.

The benefits of reflexology include stimulation of nerve function, increase of energy, it boosts circulation, creates a deep state of relaxation, eliminates toxins, prevents migraines, helps with recovery after injury or surgery, helps to relieve sleep disorders, reduces stress, depression and anxiety, and relieves pain.

Reflexology treatments are very relaxing and soothing, but you might feel slight discomfort when some areas are being worked on. Please tell your reflexologist if you are feeling pain or discomfort.

During Reflexology session, your therapist will begin with massaging your feet and will apply pressure to target areas. For example, if your symptoms are associated with your head and neck, the reflexologist may focus on your toes.

Generally, clients feel relaxed and sometimes even fall asleep during Reflexology treatment. You might also experience sweating in the hands or feet, light-headedness, increased emotions, thirst, coughing, and exhaustion, which are normal body reactions to reflexology.

It is best to wear loose, comfortable clothing. You will be asked to remove your shoes, socks or tights but you will never be asked to undress for reflexology.
