The Truth about Beauty

The truth is.. the industry is gone bananas. You can more often feel lost,  fearful, build self doubt and have a negative view of who you are. But you become the happiest version of 'YOU' when you train your mind to think differently.

I have been meaning to write the following post for a long time.  I'm hoping it will really resonate with you like it has for me, and you will see the importance of what I'm about to say.
.
The following is based on my opinion, my experience on a personal and professional level for 20 years, of which 10 years also as business owner which started out in the beauty industry, now turned a health, wellness and beauty clinic, and a Massage Training Academy.
.
Please pass this on to anyone you know that it would resonate with, and encourage your friends and loved ones to get in touch with me for extra advise and help.

THE TRUTH
.
The truth is.. the industry is gone bananas.
.
Literally, people are not even recognising who they are anymore. Social media can be highly destructive and damaging for your mental health and I see if every day. All I will say on this matter for now is:
.
  • If you are scrolling and spending hours looking at social media, and it is doing absolutely nothing for your wellbeing, lifting you up or making you feel good about yourself, then  - GET OFF IT STRAIGHT AWAY! Value your life not someone else's.
  • Please don't reach for your phone first thing in the morning - or as an alarm. Spend 20 minutes meditating instead.  This will set your day up to being a lot more productive and you will be happier. This is what I do and it works.
  • Limit yourself to the usage of your phone as this will change your life.  I can see the positive changes in my clients lives when they do this and follow daily tips I give them to work on who they are and want to become.
SELFCARE IS IMPORTANT
.
The more self care, self worth practices and time you give yourself, the more you can become anything you want to be. You will also be more capable of dealing with stressful situations. Your mental health is No 1. You become the happiest version of 'YOU' when you train your mind to think differently.
.
It has and will always be - working on yourself internally more than externally. What do I mean by that? There are 4 elements to who you are:
.
EMOTIONAL - SPIRITUAL - MENTAL - PHYSICAL
.
If you are getting your nails, hair, lashes, brows done, these are all physical elements - and yes, to a certain extent they make you feel good. However, if you are not recognising all four - you can't be truly happy. You can more often feel lost, fearful, build self doubt and have a negative view of who you are. You loose yourself.
.
HARMONISE YOUR LIFE
.
Build Harmonisation of all four of these areas into your life (which is a word I prefer to use instead of 'balance' - I never got what that word means).
.
As a nation, we are extremely influenced by how we should look - attractiveness is confidence and individuality. Set your own trends - not follow what others perceive to what looks good. That's their opinion, not yours.
.
Limit buying material items. Spend more of this time reaching out to people you haven't seen in a long time. Make time for people, not things. Give without wanting anything back in return.
.
Make time for the following:
.
  • Your mindset - self worth, self image and self care is extremely important
  • Nutrition - increase plant based foods, also plant based cleaning items, personal care products, skincare, etc. in your daily life and routine so that you know what you take. This improves your health. Limit toxins and give your body what it needs.
  • Exercise - find the right fit for you! Try Pilates and yoga.
  • Wellbeing - emotional health, breath work, sound meditation baths, workshops, listen to music and read.
Do 10% of the above list into your daily routine. By the end of the week - 10% becomes 70%!
Wake up every morning and ask yourself: 'What makes me truly happy?' - and spend each day working towards that goal!
